Content policy
Kyn hosts literary fiction and public creative response. This policy explains what can be published, what needs care, and what Kyn is not built to host.
Allowed literary work
- Original stories, serialized fiction, Spark Notes, reader prompts, room discussions, and Reader Lists that you have the right to publish.
- Serious disagreement, reinterpretation, genre shift, continuation, parody, and critique when the public story connection is honest and legible.
- Mature themes when they are part of a fictional literary work and do not violate the prohibited-content rules below.
- Explicit adult literary text only when it is marked as explicit adult, kept behind the age-confirmed reading boundary, and otherwise follows this policy.
Adult-adjacent boundaries
Kyn is text-first. Explicit literary work must stay fictional, adult, reviewable, age-gated for the full story body, and separate from real-person sexual material or creator-service behavior.
- Sexual characters must be fictional adults.
- No real-person sexual likenesses, deepfakes, or sexual claims about real people.
- No user-uploaded images, video, audio erotica, live chat, sexting, dating, custom sexual services, or creator marketplace behavior at launch.
- Explicit or sensitive material may require review, age confirmation, restricted excerpts, or removal as Kyn's policy and legal obligations mature.
Prohibited material
- Material involving minors in sexual or exploitative contexts.
- Nonconsensual real-person sexual material, privacy violations, doxxing, or intimate personal information shared without permission.
- Copyright infringement, plagiarism, impersonation, or false claims that another person's work is yours.
- Harassment, threats, spam, abuse, or misleading public Sparks that weaponize story connections against people.
- Illegal content or attempts to use genre, texture, profile fields, room posts, or Reader Lists to evade moderation.
Public-safe excerpts and metadata
Titles, excerpts, genre, texture, Spark Notes, room posts, public Reader Lists, and profile text can appear in public discovery surfaces, including for stories whose full bodies are age-gated. Keep public-facing metadata suitable for readers who have not opened the full story.
Publishing standard
When you publish, you confirm that you have the rights to publish the work and that it follows the current content policy. Staff may review, restrict, hide, or remove content when rights, safety, privacy, or policy concerns require it.
